Smt.C.R.Gardi Arts College,Munpur mission is to provide higher education to the disadvantaged people of the tribal area. To see that they develop socially, economically, mentally and physically and become the best citizens. Getting higher education was a distant dream for the people of this backward, rural, interior and tribal area of the Panchmahals before the foundation stone was laid by Late Shri Prabodhkant D. Pandya – the former president Shri M.G.S.Kelvani Mandal, Munpur and the then education minister of the Government of Gujarat.

Shri Pandyasaheb rendered his valuable services as the former president of Shri M.G.S. Kelavani Mandal, Munpur. He was known to be the well-wisher and an efficient academician also being the Professor of Accountancy and then as the Principal of the reputed college in Ahmedabad. The stigma of illiteracy of his dear people gave him lot of pain. He always wanted to remove this stigma and looked forward to establish an institution that can help the people to stand up and make them able to be among the main stream of Gujarat. During his tenure in Education Ministry in the Government of Gujarat, he transformed his dream into a reality and established this institution.
